‘Laan van Innovatie’ en start van de bouw van ‘The Gallery’
Een straat vol bomen, een woud van innovatie. Onder dit motto wordt de vernieuwde Hengelosestraat in Enschede (ter hoogte van de Universiteit Twente) op vrijdagmiddag 8 juni officieel omgedoopt tot een zogenoemde ‘Laan van Innovatie’. Met deze laan wil Kennispark Twente mensen bewust maken van innovatief Twente. Tegelijkertijd start deze middag officieel de bouw van ‘The Gallery’; het nieuwe centrum voor innovatieve bedrijven. Het gebouw biedt huisvesting voor innovatieve ondernemers, diverse ondersteuningsloketten en een tentoonstelling van regionale innovaties.
MKB Innovatie Top 100 uitgegroeid tot de belangrijkste en grootste innovatieprijs
Maandag 4 juni, presenteerden Syntens Innovatiecentrum , NL Octrooicentrum, Mercedes Benz en NRC Handelsblad voor de zevende keer de ranglijst met 100 concrete innovaties die het Nederlandse Midden- en Kleinbedrijf heeft gerealiseerd. BlueMark Innovations wist een 79ste plaats te veroveren.
Meest succesvol De jury beoordeelde de nominaties op basis van originaliteit, impact, mate van bescherming, verkrijgbaarheid en de omzetpotentie. De bekendmaking van de zevende MKB Innovatie Top 100 vond plaats op de Floriade in Venlo. De winnaar werd gehuldigd door demissionair Minister Maxime Verhagen (EL&I). Alle 100 genomineerde bedrijven hebben succesvolle innovaties doorgevoerd op het gebied van product, dienst, proces of organisatie. Met de realisatie van deze vernieuwingen hebben ondernemers hun omzet verhoogd, hun voortbestaan zeker gesteld of bestaande producten verbeterd.

A Passion for High-Tech Start-Ups Hans has been a driving force behind seven high-tech startups in the past 20 years, in many cases as their CEO. Hans has furthermore contributed to numerous high-tech startups with coaching and consultancy services. He is putting his experiences to book in: “Time To Cash: Seven Keys To Successful High Tech Entrepreneurship” (to be published in November 2008). This book provides a wealth of advice (for entrepreneurs and investors) on how to improve cashflow at high-tech startups through more focus, better strategy and better execution.
In 1998, Hans joined No Wires Needed (NWN) BV as CEO. Under Hans’ leadership, NWN (a Wi-Fi pioneer) developed itself from a 6-person start up into a global player in the emerging wireless LAN market. In April 2000, Intersil Corp. (Nasdaq: ISIL) acquired NWN for NLG 310M (a 30X multiple in less than 2 years). Having successfully integrated NWN into Intersil, Hans started his eponymous management company. Through this company, he holds both executive, non-executive and consultancy positions with a number of start-up companies in Europe and elsewhere
Hans is also co-founder of Litams BV, a leader in RFID solutions for the red meat sector. He is married to Ellen and together they are the proud parents of two daughters. Hans plays field hockey, and rides his mountain bike on the beach. He studies international relations and enjoys cooking.
BlueMark Innovations has been selected as most innovative ICT company of the Dutch Eindhoven branch of the EIT ICT labs. EIT ICT Labs is a new initiative intended to turn Europe into the global leader in ICT innovation.

BlueMark Innovations has been selected as provider in the Het Nieuwe Winkelen (HNW) project in Veenendaal, the Netherlands. This project was initiated by the Dutch Hoofdbedrijfschap Detailhandel (HBD). Its goal is to respond to the recent consumers trends like social media, mobile internet used in the purchasing process.

On 25 and 26 June 2011 during the grand Grolsch Dragon Boat Festival in Apeldoorn, the crowd control is recorded and analyzed by BlueMark Innovations. During the 7th edition of this festival an overwhelming number of visitors came along the canal in the city of Apeldoorn. Traditionally, the festival opened on Friday with Dragon Boat in Concert. This year with Kane and Miss Montreal in the schedule. Organizer Eric-Jan Westen looks back with a good feeling on this beautiful weekend. The obtained information about crowd control is applicable to compile the program and the smooth running of the 8th edition of the Dragon Boat Festival next year.
