Remote ID db121 and db121pcb: RemoteID add-ons powered by the drone
Remote Identification or Remote ID for short is a wireless license plate to identify drones. This technology is mandatory in Japan, the USA and soon in the EU for most drones. Today, BlueMark extends the family of RemoteID transponders with the db121 and db121pcb: a RemoteID broadcast module without battery.
The db121 and db121pcb modules are RemoteID broadcast modules and approved by the FAA (FAA db121pcb) for use in the USA. The db121 is small, only 36 x 38 x 28 mm, and weighs just 11 grams (db121pcb: 5 grams). It is basically a db120 transponder without battery, but needs to be powered by the drone (5 – 14V). Moreover, the transponder has a detection range up to 5 km due to the powerful antenna. The db121 can be ordered for 119 EUR ex VAT and the db121pcb for 109 EUR ex. VAT. More information about the db121 modules can be found at the product website.
