DroneScout supports reception of ADS-B/UAT aircraft signals: get full control of your cooperative airspace
BlueMark extends its the functionality of its DroneScout receivers by introducing add-ons to receive ADS-B and UAT signals.
ADS-B or Automatic Dependent Surveillance–Broadcast (1090 MHz) is a wireless number plate technology used by aircraft. It broadcasts position and ID similar to direct/broadcast RemoteID for drones. Another technology is called UAT or Universal Access Transceiver (978 MHz). UAT is primarily used in the USA (and some other countries) and is the little brother of ADS-B, used by smaller aircraft at lower altitudes.
For our DroneScout receiver family we offer now ADS-B and UAT add-ons. New receivers can be equipped and the current install base can be retrofit with these add-ons. Once installed, you will have full control of your cooperative airspace: receive the position of any aircraft, drone that uses ADS-B, UAT or direct/broadcast RemoteID!
Europe
In Europe UAT is not used/allowed. Here, ADS-L (Automatic Dependent Surveillance – Light ) at 868 MHz is used instead. Support of receiving ADS-L signals is expected to be ready in Q4 2024.
